PETE'S PAGE
In memory of Pete ? - 6/5/05
He was a very special boy
who  brought joy to his new
family and in turn got to spend
the rest of his life being loved
.
Pete in his new foster home - he was
dumped as a senior at an LA animal shelter
Pete in his new forever home
Here's some pictures of our beloved
Pete.   I don't think I ever sent
them to you.

Sharon may have told you of his spine
problems.  The vet
has determined that his back in
inoperable - could help, but could just
as likely create more problems and
pain.  The disks are just too "dried
out" and degenerated.

The last week has been extremely
hard on him as we had to wean him off
the pred and start on Rimadyl.  Now
we're adding Robaxin to see if it
helps, as the Rimadyl alone is not
keeping him comfortable.  (all the
time he is on as many pain pills as it
takes to keep him calm.)

we'll know in a few days if the addition
of robaxin will do the trick.
Please think good thoughts.  We just
can't stand to lose him.  We are
very grateful that you allowed us to
adopt this very special dog.
