Thanks again for bringing Audrey
to us. What a great girl. She seems
very special!
We renamed Audrey to Ruby
because her fur is so red. She
took to the name right away. She is
doing so well! We play ball in the
mornings when it's cool and go for
long walks in the evenings. She
has lost more weight! She weighs
60 lbs. now. We took her into the
vet's office a few times because
she had a foxtail in one of her anal
glands (ouch!), but she's all healed
up now. Also, I've never seen a
doggie who likes the water as
much as Ruby! She bites at it like
it's a toy that she's trying to get!
When my daughter gets in the pool
and plays with the hose, Ruby's
right in there with her! Then,
sometimes we have Lucy, the
Aussie next door, come over, and
they all play until they are
exhausted. It's very fun to watch.
Ruby is so well-behaved
considering that she was
neglected. The only things that
we're working on are her jumping
up on me and her pawing me. Any
tips on how to stop those
behaviors? Other than that, she's
just a big lovebug! Thank you so
much for letting us adopt her. I will
send some pictures of her soon!
